Ingo Maurer (1932–2019) founded his Munich studio in 1966 and reshaped what a lamp could be — bulbs with wings, holograms, paper, gold leaf, broken porcelain. The studio continues under Axel Schmid and Sebastian Hepting, producing one-offs, editions and architectural commissions across the Vatican, Issey Miyake stores and private collections worldwide.
