Jomo Tariku

Jomo Tariku (b. Kenya, raised in Ethiopia, based in Virginia) designs furniture rooted in African forms, motifs and material culture. His Nyala chair was acquired by the Metropolitan Museum of Art (NY); the Mido and Meedo chairs are held by LACMA, the High Museum and the Minneapolis Institute of Art. A Nyala chair also appeared on screen in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
